2. What data is processed?

Using the app without an account (guest mode): Guest mode requires no sign-in. No Firebase identifier is created and all data stays exclusively local on your device (Room database); cloud synchronisation is not available in guest mode.

Using the app with an account: You can sign in via email/password or Google. This processes your email address, your display name when signing in via Google, and a unique user ID (UID). Your password is managed exclusively by Firebase Authentication.

When using the app (regardless of guest/account status):

All data is stored primarily locally on your device. Synchronisation to Firebase Firestore happens automatically once you are signed in and have an active Premium subscription – there is no separate on/off toggle for this. Without Premium, or in guest mode, your data stays local only.

3. Purpose of processing

The data is used to provide the app's features and to fund them:

Your time-tracking data itself is not sold and is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)

TimeLog uses Google Firebase Analytics to measure app usage: screens viewed, and events such as "timer started", "work log saved" (including hours worked and item count), and "project created".

This collection is currently always active and cannot be separately disabled in the app. If you are signed in, your Firebase user ID (UID) is linked to these events; in guest mode, no account identifier is attached. Analytics data is not shared for advertising purposes.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Users without a Premium subscription (signed in or in guest mode) see banner ads. Users in guest mode additionally see a full-screen ad (interstitial) once per app session. Premium users see no ads.

To display ads, Google AdMob processes your device's advertising ID and technical device data. Whether personalised or only non-personalised ads are served depends on your consent given through the Google consent form (UMP), which appears automatically for users in the EEA/UK. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy settings.

6. Purchases (Google Play Billing / Stripe)

TimeLog Premium is available as a monthly/yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

7. Third-party providers

The app uses Google Firebase (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) for:

Google Firebase is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
More information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy

The app additionally uses Google AdMob (advertising, see section 5) and Stripe (web payments, see section 6) as third-party providers.

8. Data storage and deletion

9. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

Since there is currently no separate opt-out for usage analytics (section 4) within the app, you can object to this processing by email.

Please send requests by email to: info@sebo-development.de

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (in Germany: bfdi.bund.de).

10. Security

All connections to the Firebase cloud are encrypted via HTTPS. Passwords are managed exclusively by Firebase and are never stored in plain text.
